All controls and displays have been meticulously refined and improved over the years, to the point where they now represent the ideal set-up for ergonomic simplicity and clarity. Rotary knobs give fast and accurate channel selection and control of volume and squelch.
All-Channel Scan and Memory Scan (where permitted), Dual Watch and CH16 have individual push-button controls. High contrast display screens ensure that all text and symbols are easy to read, and both the display screens and controls are backlit for nighttime operation.
Tough and Weatherproof
With robustly engineered electronics and controls, plus die cast aluminum cases for the RT62 and RT64, all three units are built to stand up to tough use. Mounted in the recommended way using the optional flush-mount kit, the front face, control panel, hand- sets and fist-mike of the VHF sets are sufficiently waterproof that they can be operated in the open in all weathers.
